Hampton Gay, Oxfordshire
This is from the ABANDONED VILLAGE of Hampton Gay in Oxfordshire – there’s a ruined manor house type affair in the middle of a field down dozens of twisty roads. It really couldn’t be much more rural. It was a truly abysmal day for photography: the kind of bright, clean, uniform grey that’s simultaneously too bright and too dull to do anything with. Hence the use of mono, which I reckon work well on the texture of the bottle and wall, and outline of the tree. And yes – HA – Hampton Gay does sound hilarious.
