Museum of the History of Science, Oxford
Another one from Oxford’s venerable institutions, old enough to have its own special warning signs illustrating what will happen if you don’t TAKE CARE when descending old stairs. Apparently you’re more likely to fall down old stairs than new stairs, presumably because you’re too busy gawping at the ornate light fittings and portraits to watch where you’re going. Anyway, good to see the lovely out-of-focus people in the background here are descending the stairs in an orderly manner and heeding the warning.
Go to the MHS if you’re ever in Oxford, anyway. It’s full of ace stuff like brass orreries, old telescopes and Victorian science contraptions.
